Ebonyi APC Chair, Deputy Divided Over Okorocha’s Adoption Of Nnamani

The recent adoption of the former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani as the leader of the All Progressives Congress APC South East by the Governor of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has brought serious division and controversy within the leadership of the party in Ebonyi State.
The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ebonyi state chapter, Hon. Ben Nwaobasi yesterday said that the media report credited to his deputy, Eze Nwachukwu Eze over the adoption does not represent the position of the party in the State but his personal opinion, which should be treated in such capacity and does not receive the blessing of APC in Ebonyi state.
The chairman said that he has not authorized his deputy to speak on behalf of the party and any statement carelessly made by him does not stand the test of time and should be regarded as a side talk.
Nwobashi rebuked his deputy for displaying political hooliganism and desperation to the extent of making such comments without first of all getting clearance or permission from him or state working committee.
The chairman recounted that his deputy, Nwachukwu had on Monday issued a statement purported to be made on behalf of the party without due authorization from him that the state chapter of the party had dissociated itself from Nnamani’s adoption.
Nwachukwu had posited that Okorocha’s adoption of Senator Nnamani as his leader in the south east was attempt to give what he does not have which amounts to a joke
